NAIA District 25 Men's Basketball

NAIA District 25 primarily consisted of NAIA schools in Georgia and Florida.

When the NAIA split into divisions in 1992, the district split, and teams participated in both divisions. In 1993, the Florida schools were reassigned to District 7, competing in Division II.

Primary sources for information on this district include the Lakeland Ledger, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, the Daytona Beach Morning Journal, the Rome News-Tribune, the Albany Herald, the Waycross Journal-Herald, and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Formats=

1951-65, 1969-79, 1992(Division II): Four-team playoff. Some years had a third place game.

1966: Was scheduled as a four-team playoff, but was reduced to three teams after a withdrawal. One team was placed in the final game and the other two played in a semifinal.

1967-68: Best-of-three championship series involving the champion of the Georgia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and another team.

1980: Six-team playoff, with seeds. The top two seeds received byes.

1981-93: Eight-team playoff.
