The Oglethorpe University Stormy Petrels compete as members of the Southern Athletic Association in NCAA Division III basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Oglethorpe is a private non-sectarian institution located near the Buckhead district in the capital city of Atlanta, Georgia. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
