NAIA District 28 Men's Basketball
NAIA District 28 consisted, until the end of the district qualification era, of NAIA schools in West Virginia.
When the NAIA split into divisions in 1992, the teams in the district competed in Division I.
There is no primary source for information on this district.
Formats
In general, as every school in the district(with the notable exception of Bethany (WV), and for a brief period, West Virginia Wesleyan) was a member of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (1924-2013), there was no district playoff in years when the conference's regular season champion also won the conference tournament; if a different team won the tournament, a best-of-three series between the regular season and tournament champions ensued. The exceptions were from 1953-58 when four-team playoffs were held and 1966, where for some odd reason, a one-game playoff was conducted.
