NAIA District 17 consisted, throughout the district qualification era, of NAIA schools in Arkansas.

When the NAIA split into divisions in 1992, the entire district competed in Division I.

There is no primary source for information on this district.

Formats

1951: No playoff was held.

1952-56; 1975: Four-team playoff.

1977: Best-of-three series involving the Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference champion and the top team in the district as determined by the Dunkel Ratings.

1978-93: Eight-team playoff
