The Stockton University Ospreys compete as members of the New Jersey Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. Stockton, formerly "Stockton State" and "Richard Stockton College", is a public institution located in Pomona, New Jersey, about 15 minutes northeast of Atlantic City. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 7,000.
