The Montclair State University Cougars compete as members of the New Jersey Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III football and basketball. Montclair State is a public institution located in Montclair, New Jersey, about 20 minutes northeast of Newark. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 12,000. Panzer College merged into Montclair State in 1958.
