The Simon Fraser University Clan compete as members of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. They also compete as independents in NAIA Division I basketball. Simon Fraser, the first Canadian institution to be granted membership in the NCAA, is a public institution located Burnaby, British Columbia, a suburb of Vancouver. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 28,000.
