The Saginaw Valley State University, or SVSU, Cardinals compete as members of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. SVSU is a public university located in Saginaw County, Michigan, in the postal district of University Center. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 8,000.
