The Grand Valley State University, or GVSU, Lakers compete as members of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. GVSU is a public institution located just west of Grand Rapids, in Allendale, Michigan. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 20,000.
