The Michigan Technological University, or Michigan Tech, Huskies compete as members of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. Michigan Tech is a public institution located in the remote town of Houghton, Michigan, in the far northwest corner of the Upper Peninsula. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 6,000.
