The Lander University Bearcats compete as members of the Peach Belt Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Lander is a public institution located in Greenwood, South Carolina, halfway between Greenville and Augusta. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 3,000.
