The Bacone College Warriors compete in NAIA Division I as members of the Red River Athletic Conference in basketball, and in NAIA football as members of the Central States Football League. In 2015, the school's programs other than football will move to the Sooner Athletic Conference. Bacone, a Native American school formerly known as "Indian University", is a private Baptist institution located in Muskogee, Oklahoma, about an hour southeast of Tulsa. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
