The Jarvis Christian College Bulldogs compete as members of the Red River Athletic Conference in NAIA Division I basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Jarvis Christian, a historically black college, is a private Disciples of Christ institution located in Hawkins, Texas, about two hours east of Dallas. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 500.
