The Saint Mary's University Cardinals compete as members of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Saint Mary's is a private Catholic (Christian Brothers) institution located in Winona, Minnesota, about two hours southeast of Minneapolis. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
