The Belmont Abbey College Crusaders compete as members of the Conference Carolinas in NCAA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Belmont Abbey is a private Catholic (Benedictine) institution located in Belmont, North Carolina, a suburb of Charlotte. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
