Concordia-Moorhead

The Concordia College Cobbers compete as members of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III football and basketball. Concordia is a private Lutheran institution located in Moorhead, Minnesota, directly across the North Dakota border from Fargo. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 3,000.
The small campus is about a half-mile east of the Mississippi River, one mile south of downtown Moorhead, and a half-mile west of Minnesota State-Moorhead. It's centered on 12th Avenue South and 8th Street. Interstate 94 (exits 1A and 1B) is a mile to the south.
As the most isolated out post in the MIAC, the Cobbers have turned to closer schools Minnesota State-Moorhead and North Dakota State for it's rivalries, although its rivalry with the Bison is less relevant now, due to the latter's move to Division I.
The football program has seen 6 players play in the NFL/AFL, but those players are overshadowed by their mentor, Jake Christiansen, the long-time coach and namesake of the stadium they play in. The basketball team has not produced and NBA/ABA player thus far.
