The Kentucky State University Thorobreds compete as members of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. Kentucky State, a historically black college, is a public land-grant institution located in the capital city of Frankfort, Kentucky. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
