The Humboldt State University Lumberjacks compete in NCAA Division II as members of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference for football, and the California Collegiate Athletic Association for basketball. Humboldt State is a public institution located in Arcata, California, in the heart of the Pacific Redwood Coast nearly five hours north of San Francisco. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 6,000.
