The Central Washington University Wildcats complete in NCAA Division II as members of the North Central Conference in football, and as members of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference in basketball. Beginning in 2008, the school's football team will also compete in the reformed football section of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. Central Washington is a public institution located in Ellensburg, Washington, right in the middle of the state. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 9,000.
