The Widener University Pride compete as members of the Middle Atlantic Conference in NCAA Division III football and basketball. Widener, formerly "Pennsylvania Military College", is a private non-sectarian institution located in Chester, Pennsylvania, about 20 minutes southwest of Philadelphia. The school's teams have previously been known as the "Cadets" (during the PMC years) and the "Pioneers" (prior to 2006). The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 3,000.
