The University of New England, or UNE, Nor'easters compete as members of the Commonwealth Coast Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. The school does not sponsor football. UNE, formerly the "College of Saint Francis", is a private non-sectarian institution located in Biddeford, Maine, about 20 minutes south of Portland. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
