The Roger Williams University Hawks compete as members of the Commonwealth Coast Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Roger Williams is a private non-sectarian institution, formerly a branch campus of Northeastern University, located on Narragansett Bay in Bristol, Rhode Island, about a half-hour southeast of Providence. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 4,000.
