The Southwest Baptist University Bearcats compete in NCAA Division II as members of the Great Lakes Valley Conference for football, and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association for basketball. Southwest Baptist is a private Baptist institution located in Bolivar, Missouri, about 20 minutes north of Springfield. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 4,000.
