The New York Institute of Technology Bears compete as members of the East Coast Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. New York Tech is a private non-sectarian institution located in the town of Old Westbury, New York, on the north shore of Long Island near Oyster Bay. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 8,000.
