The Mercy College Flyers compete as members of the East Coast Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Mercy is a private non-sectarian institution, although formerly a Catholic (Sisters of Mercy) school, located in Dobbs Ferry, New York, on the east shore of the Hudson River just north of Yonkers. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 6,000.
