The Dowling College Golden Lions compete as members of the East Coast Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Dowling is a private non-sectarian institution located in Oakdale, New York, near Islip in eastern Long Island. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 4,000.
