The Quincy University Hawks compete as members of the Mid-States Football Association in NAIA football, and as members of the Great Lakes Valley Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. The football team will also join the GLVC in 2012 when the conference begins sponsoring football. Quincy is a private Catholic (Franciscan) institution located in Quincy, Illinois, on the Mississippi River about two hours north of Saint Louis. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
