The University of Bridgeport Purple Knights compete as members of the East Coast Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. Bridgeport is a private non-sectarian institution located in Bridgeport, Connecticut, just west of New Haven. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
