The Wingate University Bulldogs compete as members of the South Atlantic Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. Wingate is a private Baptist institution located in Wingate, North Carolina, about 20 minutes southeast of Charlotte. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
