The Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters compete as members of the South Atlantic Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. The school has not sponsored football since 1931. Lincoln Memorial is a private non-sectarian institution located in Harrogate, Tennessee, near the junction of the Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia borders at Cumberland Gap. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
