The William Smith College Herons compete as members of the Liberty League in NCAA Division III basketball. The school is a women-only college, and thus does not sponsor football. William Smith is a private Episcopal institution located in Geneva, New York, about an hour west of Syracuse. The school is the female half of the Colleges of the Seneca in partnership with Hobart College. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
