The State University of New York at Oswego, or Oswego State, Lakers compete as members of the State University of New York Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Oswego State is a public institution located in Oswego, New York, on Lake Ontario about a half-hour north of Syracuse. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 7,000.
