The Nova Southeastern University Sharks compete as members of the Sunshine State Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Nova Southeastern, formerly known as "Nova Tech", is a private non-sectarian institution located in Davie, Florida, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 5,000.
