The Western New Mexico University Mustangs compete as members of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. Western New Mexico is a public institution located in Silver City, New Mexico, about two hours northwest of El Paso, Texas. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
