The Montreat College Cavaliers compete as members of the Appalachian Athletic Conference in NAIA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Montreat is a private Presbyterian institution located in Montreat, North Carolina, about two hours west of Charlotte. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 500.
