The Massachusetts Maritime Academy Bears compete in NCAA Division III football as members of the New England Football Conference. The school, uniquely, has not sponsored basketball in some time for either gender. Massachusetts Maritime is a public military institution located in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, about an hour southeast of Boston. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
