The University of Maine at Presque Isle Owls compete in NCAA Division III basketball; the men as independents and the women as members of the Great South Athletic Conference. The school does not sponsor football. Maine-Presque Isle is a public institution located in Presque Isle, Maine, near the Canadian border about 5 hours northeast of Portland.
