The Cornell College Rams compete as members of the Midwest Conference in NCAA Division III football and basketball. Cornell is a private Methodist institution located in Mount Vernon, Iowa, about 15 minutes east of Cedar Rapids. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
