The Briar Cliff University Chargers compete as members of the Great Plains Athletic Conference in NAIA football and NAIA Division II basketball. Briar Cliff is a private Catholic (Franciscan) institution located in Sioux City, Iowa, about 90 minutes north of Omaha, Nebraska. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
