The Shorter College Hawks compete in NAIA Division I as members of the Southern States Athletic Conference in basketball, and in NAIA football as members of the Mid-South Conference. Shorter is a private Baptist institution located in Rome, Georgia, about 90 minutes northwest of Atlanta. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 3,000.
