The Saint Joseph's College Monks compete as members of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Saint Joseph's is a private Catholic (Sisters of Mercy) institution located in Standish, Maine, about 15 minutes west of Portland. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
