The Eckerd College Tritons compete as members of the Sunshine State Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Eckerd is a private Presbyterian institution located on the mouth of Tampa Bay in the southern end of Saint Petersburg, Florida. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
