The Central State University Marauders compete in NCAA Division II as independents in football and basketball. In 2012, the school will begin competing in the Great Lakes Valley Conference as an associate member for football. Central State, a historically black college, is a public institution located in Wilberforce, Ohio, just east of Dayton. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
