The Kentucky Wesleyan College Panthers compete in NCAA Division II basketball as members of the Great Lakes Valley Conference and in football as members of the Great Lakes Football Conference. In 2012, the GLVC will begin sponsoring football, and the school will participate there. Kentucky Wesleyan is a private Methodist institution located in Owensboro, Kentucky, on the Ohio River about 90 minutes west of Louisville. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
