The Truman State University Bulldogs compete as members of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association in NCAA Division II football and basketball. Truman State, formerly "Northeast Missouri State" or "Kirksville State", is a public institution located in Kirksville, Missouri, about an hour north of Columbia. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 6,000.
