The Castleton State College Spartans compete as members of the North Atlantic Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Castleton State is a public institution located in Castleton, Vermont, about 45 minutes south of Burlington. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
