The Fort Hays State University Tigers compete as members of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association in NCAA Division II football and basketball. Fort Hays State is a public institution located in Hays, Kansas, about halfway between Kansas City and Denver. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 8,000.
