The State University of New York Maritime College, or SUNY Maritime or New York Maritime, Privateers compete in NCAA Division III as members of the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference for football, and the Skyline Conference for basketball. The school temporarily ceased sponsoring women's basketball in 2007. New York Maritime is a public military institution located on the Throggs Neck Peninsula, in historic Fort Schuyler, in the Bronx borough of New York, New York. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 4,000.
