The Virginia Intermont College Cobras compete as members of the Appalachian Athletic Conference in NAIA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Virginia Intermont is a private Baptist institution located in Bristol, Virginia, about two hours northeast of Knoxville, Tennessee. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
