The Purdue University-North Central Panthers compete as members of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference in NAIA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Purdue-North Central is a public institution located in Westville, Indiana, about a half-hour east of Chicago. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 4,000. The school's teams were nicknamed the "Centaurs" until 2003.
